How is the Market? Show me a picture!

As working Realtors, the common question asked is "How's the Market?"

Instead of the traditional "The Market is Great, why do you ask?", I use the opportunity to invite them to my website to SEE how the market is doing! I use some state-of-the-art tools to provide a graphical INTERACTIVE representation, showing the Annapolis Supply-vs-Demand for the last 10-years.

See the boom years in 2004-2005? Boom because there were times when we had less than 2-months inventory. People were buying anything on the market, and buying NOW. A "seller's market."

Compare those years to 2008-2009 Bust when our market had 13-15 months of inventory. Meaning that houses for sale took a VERY long time to sell, and there were many to choose from. A "buyer's market."

Now, in 2014, we are at a healthy 5-6 months of inventory. Notice the last few months of growing supply, as we go more buyer-friendly.

So, it really is a good time to buy! And a pretty decent market to sell.
