The location of Whistling Pines is truly ideal for those folks looking to have the convenience of a popular suburb with a bit of a rural, small community feel as there are only a handful of lots in the subdivision and it backs up to the Elm Creek and the countryside. Wildlife is plentiful with the surroundng meadows, woods, and wetlands. There is a private community pool and clubhouse; the perfect spot to relax or gather the neighbors.

What are the Homes Like?

The two-story homes are built by Creek Hill Custom Homes and Swanson Homes. They don't leave much to be desired! They sit on lots ranging in size from .52 acres to .87 acres and range in size from 3,075 to 6,811 finished sq ft. The homes on the lower end of this range have an unfinished lower level. You will see 4-6 bedrooms, 3-6 bathrooms, and 3 car attached garages. The subdivision was started in 2012 and as of July 2014, there are still homes being built. The floorplans have open concepts and are the details are amazing. There is a mandatory homeowner's association with montly dues about $105. The main purpose of the association is to maintain property values.


What's Going on Nearby Whistling Pines?

The city of Maple Grove is a very well-kept and popular northwest suburb of Minneapolis. Popular restaurants and shops line the streets. Just about anywhere you could imagine wanting to shop, Maple Grove has it, including the luxurious Shoppes at Arbor Lakes.

There is also an abundance of parks and trails in the area, many parks that are part of the Three Rivers Park District and are great for hiking. The Plymouth Dog Park and Egan Park is a ten minute walk from Whistling Pines.

If you like to golf, you are going to love that there are several golf courses inside a twenty minute drive.  Rush Creek Golf Club and Shamrock Golf Course are both a six minute drive.

The Maple Grove Hospital, an excellent facility, is a 12 minute drive. 


What Schools will the Kids Attend?

If you move to Whistling Pines, your children will get to be part of the acclaimed Wazata public school district #284. There are only a few Maple Grove neighborhoods in the very southwestern corner of Maple Grove that get to be a part of this school district. The schools serving this area are; Kimberly Lane Elementary, Wazata Central Middle, and Wazata High School.
