Cool off this Summer at the Camas Municpal Pool.
Let's face it, we don't deal with the heat very well around here. When the thermometer starts climbing, the whining tends to increase too. We tend to forget those cold, winter days when we long for the warm, summer sun. In our defense, the 90's are warm for many folks - even those who live in in less temperate climates.
Therefore, we're lucky to be able to cool off at the public swimming pool in Crown Park. This summer, Lacamas Swim and Sport is managing the lessons and the schedule. Speaking of lessons, this is the perfect time of year for out-of-school children to learn to swim, or perfect their swimming skills.
Beat the July Heat and head to Crown Park for a Swim.
The July weather looks as if it's going to stay warm. Forecasters are calling for temperatures in the 90's for the next several days, and cooling off to the 80's by Thursday. If you want to celebrate the summer season, take the family swimming - it's a great way to cool off.
The Camas Municipal Pool was built in 1954 and is located in Crown Park. It has three pools - a large pool with depths from 3.5 to 10 feet, a junior pool with depths for 2.5 to 3.5 feet, and a baby pool with depths from 2" to 18".
The schedule this summer includes public family swims, adult lap time, swim lessons, swim team, Water Aerobics, and numerous camps and training sessions at the pool. You can even purchase a season pass and save money. See you at the pool!
