San Diego Mission Valley Condos For Sale
The Abbey is a very small community of just nine units in zip code 92111 at the western end of Mission Valley and very close to the University of San Diego. These units are unique in Mission Valley due to their size and construction. One of them is actually a single family detached home with no common walls, and several of them could be considered single-family attached homes rather than condominiums or townhomes.
Like to golf? Riverwalk Golf Course, a public course, is directly across Friars Road. Also close by are Fashion Valley Mall, several San Diego Trolley stations, Mission Bay, and SeaWorld.
Walkers, joggers, and bikers will enjoy the concrete paths along the the San Diego River from Qualcomm Stadium all the way to Mission Bay, Ocean Beach, and Mission Beach, a distance of about seven miles.
The Abbey was built in 1972. Units range in size from 1,302 square feet to 2,822 square feet. Bedroom/bathroom floor plans include 2/2, 2/4, 3/2, 4/2, and 4/5. All units have in-unit laundries.
Because there are so few units and they rarely sell, it's difficult to get an accurate estimate of the HOA dues, but it appears that they range from about $350 to $450 a month and include common area maintenance, landscaping, exterior building and roof maintenance, water (possibly including hot water), and limited insurance.
The Abbey is managed by Calsur. Contact them at 858-560-1178.
A check with the FHA indicates that The Abbey is not FHA approved. It also is not VA approved.
