Credit tip number 4 is to create a budget and live within its limits. Credit should not be a source to live beyond your means. It is so easy to create a simple budget and it allows you to have more control because you track and see exactly where your money is going.
Certainly for anyone older with a fixed income. When you have a family, there are always emergencies; however, paying off credit cards and loans should be a priority going forward.
Great advice to live by and it would indeed make sense - too bad more people don't live that way.

Hella-You are right, there are emergency situations that arise. The budgeting part can help to equip families with an emergency fund for those emergency situations!

This is a great tip and an important step for people working toward meeting their credit goals. It doesn't matter how much money someone earns; if they live beyond their means they will always be behind.
