Grassfield high school is the newest high school in Chesapeake.  When this school was opened it pulled from Great Bridge, Hickory, and Deep Creek high schools.  It is one of the most desirable school districts in Chesapeake.  It has approximately 2100 students and scores a 9 out of 10 at Greatschools.org.  Click here to view all the homes for sale in the Grassfield High School district.

Below I have some information on some of the neighborhoods that attend Grassfield High School:

Sawyer's Mill has approximately 400 single family homes built in the late 1990s and early 2000s.  It is conviently located off of Cedar Road and George Washington Highway.  Deer Crossing and Las Gaviotas are nearby neighborhoods.  The children in this neighborhood attend Grassfield Elementary, Hugo Owens Middle, and Grassfield High.

Marsh Creek  was built in the late 1990's and early 2000's.  There are approximately 212 single family homes with the average square footage being 3400.  Deer Crossing and Sawyer's Mill are nearby neighborhoods.  The children in this neighborhood attend Grassfield Elementary, Hugo Owens Middle, and Grassfield High.

Rio Vista  was built in the early 2000s and has approximately 30 single family homes with the average square footage being 2500.  Deer Crossing and Sawyer's Mill are nearby neighborhoods.  The children in this neighborhood attend Grassfield Elementary, Hugo Owens Middle, and Grassfield High.

Deer Crossing  was built in the mid 1990's and has approximately 160 single family homes.  Sawyer's Mill and Mill Creek are nearby neighborhoods.  The children in this neighborhood attend Grassfield Elementary, Hugo Owens Middle, and Grassfield High. 

Sherwood Forest was built in the late 1990s.  It has approximately 200 single family homes.  It is located off of Cedar Road between Dominion Boulevard and Battlefield Boulevard.  Las Gaviotas and Sawyer's Mill are nearby neighborhoods.  The children in this neighborhood attend Cedar Road Elementary, Great Middle and Grassfield High.  

Las Gaviotas is comprised of approximately 860 single family homes and townhouses built in the 1980s.  Most of the neighborhood is on a golf course.  It is conviently located off of Cedar Road.  Southern Pines and Sawyer's Mill are nearby neighborhoods.  The children in this neighborhood attend Cedar Road Elementary, Great Bridge Middle, and Grassfield High.

Cahoon Plantation is located off of Cedar Road.  Construction begain in the 2000's in this neighborhood.  There are approximately 158 single homes in this neighborhood with the average square footage being about 4061.  Las Gaviotas and Sherwood Forest are nearby neighborhoods.  The children in this neighborhood attend Cedar Road Elementary, Great Bridge Middle, and Grassfield High.

Bells Hollow was built in the mid 2000s.  It has approximately 20 single family homes.  It is located off of Waters Road in the Great Bridge area of Chesapeake.  Las Gaviotas and Sherwood Forest are nearby neighborhoods.  The children in this neighborhood attend Great Bridge Elementary schools, Great Bridge Middle, and Grassfield High.

Deerville is located in the Great Bridge area of Chesapeake.  It has a rural setting with approximately 65 single family homes in the area.  Bells Hollow and Las Gaviotas are nearby neighborhoods.  The children in this neighborhood attend Grassfield High School, Great Bridge Middle School, and Cedar Road Elementary School.
