The YMCA can be anything you want it to be, from fitness, to daycare. There’s a wide variety of fitness classes- Zumba, spinning, and core work, to name a few. There are also a lot of summer camps that you may consider getting your kids involved in. A few that sound worthwhile coming up would be the Magic Camp and the Superhero Camp.
If you are A) not a kid, or B) not interested in classes, there are other eye-catching alternatives to spend your time here. There’s an Olympic-sized lap pool and kids water park and an open court gym for basketball and pickleball (when camps aren’t going on), as well as many other events and adventures to be had. I personally have learned to make eggrolls in the Vietnamese cooking classes made available through the YMCA. And if you find yourself parched after all this fun, you can chill out to Smoothie King found right inside the Y.
If you are in League City or Dickinson I would recommend visiting the Perry YMCA on League City Pkwy. Residents of Webster, Clear Lake or anywhere else in the Houston Bay Area, the E.A. Smith location would be right up your alley, literally. For more info. on League City I would recommend visiting http://leaguecitytexashomes.com.
