How to Make a Spa-like Bathroom in Your New Westchase Home

According to the latest surveys, the top features that luxury home buyers look for in a dream home is a spa-like bathroom. You may have already checked out several Westchase area homes for sale with regular to outstanding bathrooms that were quite interesting. A regular bathroom can actually be changed into a spa bathroom without spending too much money.  A spa bathroom is all about creating a relaxing mood and the great news is, you can go to your very own spa everyday- at home!

Change the regular bathroom in your Westchase home into a spa bathroom with these cost-effective tips.

Here are several ways to make a spa bathroom at home:

  • Put in a tub- If your bathroom does not have a tub, you can easily install a portable tub as long as there is enough space for one. For limited spaces, there are smaller portable tubs that do not allow you to fully stretch out your legs but is deep enough to have a whole body soak while sitting in an upright position with slightly bent knees. Studies have shown that a relaxing soak may help in lowering blood pressure, fight stress and even cure some types of eczema.
  • Install a towel warmer- There are easy to install towel warmers that will instantly be a spa-like feature in your bathroom. Make sure to choose one that is safe and warms towels evenly. Also, choose one that is corrosion-resistant.
  • Create a rain shower- This can be done in less than an hour, without even opening the wall cavity of your bathroom. You can now buy shower columns with rain-head fixtures to give you a rain-like shower experience in your bathroom.
  • Add nature’s touch- Accessorize your bathroom with stuff made from natural materials such as stone mats and bamboo lamps or place potted tropical plants to create a refreshing mood in the bathroom- much like being in an expensive Bali spa.
  • Light some candles- The soft light of candles will set a spa-like mood in your bathroom. Place the candles together near the vanity or window ledge. Choose candles with relaxing scents. Make sure there are no draperies or anything that easily burns near the candles.

If you prioritize relaxation at home, having a spa-like bathroom should be on your checklist while looking for Westchase area homes for sale. You may have found your dream home with just a regular bath but with these tips, you can refurbish it to a spa-like bathroom without having to wait a long time!
