Creepy or Cool? Blog posts about a hypothetical Kensington, CA family

Real Estate Technology with Jibebuy

I'm working on a new project called KensingtonDigs. The site is still a work in progress, but, eventually, it will be a web site that demonstrates how to use Jibebuy to help crowdsource blog content and promote real estate web sites. But, in the meantime, in the process of buildling what is effectively a real estate web site, I'm thinking a lot about what type of content a potential real estate buyer might really want to find when they land on a web site.

The other day, I had one of those "shower thoughts" that maybe people new to an area would want to read about what it would really be like live there. So, I wrote this new post "A Typical Day in Kensington" about a hypothetical family living out a typical day in Kensington, CA.

I've been at this long enough to know that sometimes, my "great ideas" aren't really so great... What do you think? Is it creepy or cool?

Thanks, David. I tried to make it pretty clear at the top of the post that it is a hypothetcial family, so it should be on the up-and-up, but so many people just skim now, I'm sure there will be some people asking about "Pam and Bill"!

Turning Houses into Homes

Sounds like an interesting idea.  Mix it up with hard market stuff, real estate information, homes for sale with blogs on parks, local stores, the library, on so forth.  Kennsignton is a great area.  Write about Tilden Park and such.

It's not creepy but it needs a good edit to make it interesting for people to read. I think it could be a good attractant for people relocating to an area. It just needs to be written differently.

Thanks for the feedback Gene Riemenschneider and Maria Morton. On the home page of the site, there are some other, more standard type particles on parks, schools and such written by other team members. I wrote this more unusual one. Yeah, the copy seemed better than I remember -  it does need a good edit. At least nobody thought it was too weird.

yes, I think buyers do want to see the location of parks and schools and grocery stores so they can determine how close they are to each house they are considering. A person who wants to bike or walk will consider each tenth of a mile an advantage or disadvantage.
