VA FAQ #15 - How soon after a Bankruptcy can I qualify for a VA Jumbo Loan?

We offer VA Jumbo Loans as soon as 2 years after a Bankruptcy Chapter 7 discharge.     It does require a clean credit history after the BK discharge, and it also helps to re-establish credit lines, as these will bolster your credit scores.    Many VA Lenders require you to wait 7 years after Bankruptcy to qualify for a VA Jumbo or VA High Balance Loan.   We follow the VA Guideline - 24 months after Bankruptcy Discharge is our minimum timeframe for VA Jumbo Loans.  The 2 year waiting period applies on all loan amounts up to $2.0M on our VA Jumbo Loans.
