Casting call for Maui off-grid home buyers, let's find you a home!

wind power generator in Haiku Maui HI 96708HGTV is preparing another home buyer show, aimed at buyers who are moving to an off the grid lifestyle.  Maui has a lot of places that qualify, and I'm looking for buyers who would like to be featured on this TV show.  Are you looking for a home in the country on Maui?  Do you want to be on TV?

What does off-grid living mean?  It means you're not connected to the grid of public services such as power and water.  But that doesn't mean you can't live a normal life.

Where are some off-grid properties on Maui?  Many are in Haiku, and there's also some in Hana, Kaupo, Kipahulu, and Ulupalakua.  Here's a Hawaii Life Gallery of Maui off-grid homes and land.

Wish we could have wind power here. A friend of mine in the county just north of here attempted that and was reported to the city. They told her to take it down or get fined on a daily basis.
