With the increased drilling in Texas, land brokers have been faced with the seller’s desire to reserve their mineral rights. The buyers of real property want to protect their surface use. Ezra Johnson, Oil and Gas Attorney, with Uhl, Fitzsimons, Jewett & Burton PLLC recently spoke on a Texas Association of Realtors webinar that covers the general rights of the mineral owner to use the surface of the property for mineral exploration and production.
