Always ask for referrals ~ Ask and You Shall Receive

By
Mortgage and Lending with Credit Werx, LLC.

As a rule of thumb…

We always ask for referrals at the end of every transaction. Sometimes we ask before the transaction is even closed if it is an obvious slam dunk. We have had a fantastic month this month but closed up most of our pipeline and are going into the next month with a bit less to work on. You can’t get what you don’t ask for; ask and you shall receive.

AR is about community and networking and in that spirit I have decided to apply our rule of thumb to my blog efforts here on Active Rain. I am asking all available agents to send us some referrals and here is why you should:Referrals always welcome

·         We always go above and beyond to ensure our borrowers, agents, and vendors a smooth process every time.

·         We will work hard to get the transaction closed even when there are the occasional hiccups in the loan process.

·         We keep everyone involved in the loop and are always available to provide updates and answer any
questions that may arise.

·         We have the widest range of mortgage loan products available period. To list them all here would take another blog post but if it can be done we can do it.

So, please send us some referrals and we will do our best to make you look good for making the recommendation!

Yes it really is Joan, I have gotten a few referrals from AR out of the blue but I have never directly asked for them in this way. Firgured I'd give it a try. Last few months my business partner and I went into the month with 3 million plus in our pipeline and closed around a million and a half which I think is pretty good for just the two of us. This past month was a blowout month for us and we are going into this one with only around a half million that we know we can close. I am working hard to get a few more transactions on the books before the end of August and every referral is like gold to us. We can do loans in CO so if you need a good lender with a lot of versatility please give us a try :)

It is easy. Just do it.

“I’ve really enjoyed talking with you today. If any of your friends or family express an interest in buying or selling a home, it would be an honor to work with them. Just give me a call and I’ll be happy to follow up.”

Yeah Inna it is easy. I always ask now and realize that in the past I was missing out. More often than not people in the market know someone else looking to purchase a home as well. When you provide excellent service they are often times eager to make the referral. I also created a page on the back of our site (unindexed) that I send people a link to complete a survey after closing http://plattsburghmortgage.com/post-closing-survey/. getting feedback is extremely valuable... It just occurred to me that I should be asking for referrals on the survey as well so I am going to add that before the day is out.

I agree, Christopher. Asking for a feedback is important.

Yet...Practice articulating the value you bring to a transaction.
