The next generation of superstar Realtors

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Willner Realty BRE #01913076

I've been really inspired recently by those that are new-ish Realtors and really have their head in the right place.  From reading some AR blogs from what sounds like very new Realtors to talking with my colleagues at the office, I think we're heading in the right direction and will make those that are on their way to retirement happy to know that they can leave home buyers and sellers in good hands.

What inspires me most is the heart and soul of these new Realtors.  Honestly, I always felt like Realtors had an unfair reputation by the public, but as time goes on, I hear more and more stories and I actually experience Realtors who are the reason that we have such a negative rep.  It's one of my goals to prove, one client at a time that Realtors are here to HELP our clients and have their best interest at heart and I'm excited to see so many other new Realtors on the same wavelength.

In my mind, I've been calling us the new breed of Realtors.  Tech-savvy with an entrepreneurial spirit, driven but sensitive enough to want the very best for our clients.

So, here's to us!  Can't wait to see ourselves in 2 years, 5 years and 10 years, what a journey it will be!

Over 6,000 homes sold in 27 years!

Being 27 years in the business, I have many times encountered realtors that give us the bad reputation. However, like you said, one by one, our clients have found out the contrary of that! Very happy to see so many new realtors with the right skills and morals!

Glad to hear about the new group of Realtors®.  I think there will always be those who are professional and those who are not.

Maya - This is off topic, but how do you manage to type the name of those who commented to this blog in your response comments, and get the name to link back to them, while sending a message that their name has been mentioned in a comment?  That's a great feature, but haven't managed to figure out how to accomplish it!

I love it Maya!  Amanda and I are just entering our sixth year in real estate, so we definitely aren't the newbies anymore.  It's cool to experience the growth we've had in the last 3-4 years.  Keep it up!

Myrl Jeffcoat - type an @ and then without a space start typing the name...it should pop up...it seems to stop working after I've done it 3 times in a comment field, but not sure if that's just me or not.  It's a new feature, I think as of only a few days ago.  And it may only work for people that have commented in the thread, but not 100% sure.

It is so nice to see that newer agents on AR can help those of us that are unaware of how to use all these new features that are rolling out.  Great job to Myrl Jeffcoat  and Maya Willner.  I am very impressed!

I am proud of the position thatyou are taking.  There were agents that care and really have a passion for helping of all ages and I think many of the new agents are being better trained as to how to run a business.  The industry is transitioning from a lot of part-timers to career minded individuals.

I gotta say....the prior generation (mine) was kinda rough.  We've not done as well with the world as I'd expected and hoped.  The 80's and 90's maybe didn't shape us quite as we'd liked.

But, I've been energized by those behind us. That's true everywhere I look, including these new Realtors.  The competition has been good to keep up on our toes.
