Fishhawk Lake-Tuesday Travelogue August 5th
Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our eighth week! Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:
" to enjoy the ride"
"take a trip without even leaving the farm"
"expand your horizons"
"see through someone else's eyes"
and hopefully much more!
We are going around the world this week....bring your passport!
Joan Whitebook takes us to small-town America and totally back in time to historic beauty and quaintness. Let's go visit Hollis, New Hampshire ,shall we?
Susan Emo offers us a sumptuous look at a "wildlife haven" that actually is for sale (something I don't normally spotlight in Tuesday Travelogue)....this slide show is pack full of stunning beauty on private Tim's Lake in Hartington , ON Canada.
Shall we create art (made entirely of driftwood) in the middle of nowhere known as Ladonia? Donald Hester takes us on a journey to a creative Scandinavian place that really IS a micronation. I loved the quote he used, “The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.”
In looking around our "Resources" category and "Local Info" as the subcategory on ActiveRain, I happened upon the US Virgin Islands. This photo invited me in immediately, along with the title Hidden Gems...Tanya Van Blake-Coleman took me back to my days of sailing in the US Virgin Islands...and reminded me of what the #1 value of a Hidden Gem is...
