Denver Botanical Gardens - Free Day - August 4, 2014
The Denver Botanical Gardens feature a variety of gardens from all over the world. Many are best grown in Denver due to the high altitude and geography. There are gardens that are planted to show "drought-tolerance" and another focused on European horticulture.
The gardens were first dedicated in 1954 at City Park, but the "night diggers" were controllable in the unfenced area. In 1958 the Botanical Gardens were moved to the current location at 9th & York.
The gardens should be full of different plants and flowers to enjoy this FREE DAY.
You can be a MEMBER of the Botanical Gardens and have unlimited admission, priority and reduced prices for concert tickets and events, discounts on classes and events, and more. It is $45 for an annual individual membership, $55 for an annual individual membership with one guest, $80 for an annual family membership.
