Aiming to be your top Bay Area Realtor
In my quest for success as a Realtor and in life, I find it very important to be learning based. In this business, one must keep up with market trends, be creative with marketing and consistently be learning in order to provide the best service and consultation to our clients. We must also do these things to be a top producing Realtor, because without up to date knowledge and without staying current, you will be behind those that are doing everything they can to be top level.
I was so excited today when I attended a new coaching group lead by Real Estate veteran Eric Orland. It’s really amazing how the universe works. I’ve just started really latching on to the belief that if you want something, you must put it out there (and work hard, of course J) to the universe. I recently terminated my current sessions with my first real estate coach because I just wasn’t getting what I was looking for out of it. I was in a group with Realtors at just about my level and we’d go around and talk about what we’re doing and what we should be doing that we’re not…my issue was that nothing anyone was saying was new to me. I realized that what I wanted was to hear from and be around others that have been in the business longer than me, those that are where I want to be and where I’m going. In the past few weeks, I’ve mentioned this to several people and I’ve thought about it a lot and then over the weekend, I received an email about this coaching course and when I attended today I was surrounded by great agents that have been in the business for a significant amount of time and are looking to grow as well. EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR AND I DIDN’T EVEN HAVE TO LOOK! J
I’m very excited about this class. I’m excited to get to know new people in the industry, mastermind with them and build a solid relationship based around accountability, learning and DOING together. I’m excited about putting amazing systems in place to be a more organized Realtor and I’m excited about trying new ways of doing business that I’m nervous about but I know will help me succeed.
I’m excited about being motivated to be my best and I’m most excited about knowing that this is just another step that makes me a top Bay Area realtor and enables me to help my clients achieve their real estate goals.
Some quotes I wrote down from today’s class:
“The opinion of which other people have of you is their problem, not yours”. The purpose of this was to focus on what you want and what you’re doing. If someone else is not doing the right thing, or bringing you down, just stay focused on what you need to do and you will succeed. “The only thing we can do is control our actions”...we all know that we cannot change or control others. Stay positive and focused on doing the right thing no matter what others are doing.
“Make this the first day of the rest of your life”. No matter what you’ve done or not done, start doing what you want and what you need to do today.
”Make today your masterpiece” – another great quote from today. All we have now is today, not the past, not the future. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!
Lastly, as we know, but it’s important to be reminded, “people do business with people whom they like, trust and who are competent”. Although we know this, sometimes it’s good to be reminded. Be genuine, be honest and learn as much as possible so you have the ability to help those you work with at the highest level.
