The only thing better than golfing with friends, is

The only thing better than golfing with friends, is golfing with friends for a great cause. Some of you that know me, know that I enjoy spending time on the course and unfortunately for me I have  not been out this year, in fact I have not swung a club since last October. This is the longest drought I have had since I tool up the game almost 40 years ago.

   I have had a couple nagging injuries ( I know, poor John) that I was told to "take it easy on" and let them heal. Well, things are looking up and I spoke with my doctors and they said if you can tolerate the pain, then by all means do what feels right. A couple buddies that I golf with regularly, or at least I used to golf with regularly have been asking me every week if I can get out with them and in my best little "ladies tee" voice I tell them I can't come out to play today, but then they throw this charity golf event at me, it's called The Worlds Largest Golf Outing and it is a benefit for Americas Wounded Warriors. I took one look at the event and all of the good they do for our heroes and marched right back to the championship tees and said "sign me up" if these guys and gals can put their ass on the line for my freedom, the least I can do is suck it up and support them.

Along those lines, I recently became the state broker for a company that is new to Colorado, and the biggest reason that I joined forces with them was because of their support of Americas heroes. We are partnered with Hometown Heroes a program that gives back to our service men and women, our police officers and our EMT's, firefighters teachers and non-profit government employees. All of these people are very underpaid for what they do to serve the rest of America and this is one way that I can give back.

I have never been more excited about a golf outing.
