The Boehm Team's buyer's agent, Jamie, loves to head to the beach the week or so before school starts with her family and luckily that's not a big deal since Boerne is only 3 hours from Port A. Some tips that Jamie would like to leave with you if you are lucky enough to head to those sandy dunes:
- Protect those mobile devices, if you can't leave them in your rental, put them in a ziplock bag and hide inside your beach bag.
- Jamie hasn't done this trick, but we saw it online and thought it was a great idea. Find an old suntan lotion bottle that has a wide opening at the top and hide your valuables in there.
- The old tried and true, Rub baby powder on your arms and legs to remove sand
- Put heavy rocks on the side of the blankets to keep them from blowing away. Someone with some ingenuity actually sewed pockets on their blanket to put the rocks in, but that seems like a little more trouble then it is worth.
- We saw this on Pinterest!! if your flip flop breaks, take the plastic closure for bread and slip it on the underside of the flip flop to hold the strap in place tell you can toss that pair.
- Use vinegar on a jelly fish stick to neutralize the toxins. Never ever use fresh water or ice (personal experience for Jamie) because it will release the toxins faster. Do not rub the area.
- Make sure you have plenty of liquids, hopefully water to not get dehydrated.
- And remember the number 1 rule always of hanging out in the sun. Apply a lot of Suntan lotion and apply it often!!!!
Have fun in the sun.
