Buyers are entrapping Sellers while they improve their finances!

I just listed a home where the Seller had a previous PA that expired, along with an extension. The previous Buyer says they couldn't get their financing approved, so they intend to hold the Seller under the expired contract until the Buyers can get approved at some future date. My Broker has been in contact with two lawyers who both said that contracts do not expire, and the Buyers can take as long as they choose to obtain that financing.

 

How can this be fair to anyone?
