THE TEXAS BASEMENT TRICK: Yit agin: a gimmick!

By
Home Stager with THE ORIGINAL HOUSTON HOME STAGING

EVERYBODY'S GOT A BASEMENT
IT JUST MAY NOT BE UNDERGROUND!

Back in New Jersey we had a basement.
My neighbors had a basement,
everybody I knew had a basement!

I also had a walk-in attic (great fun for kids). But of course my house was built in 1910!

Most of America is built on slabs,
and basements are a novelty in many areas.

I was touring a home, someplace, somewhere in Texas,
and it too,
was built on a slab,
but there was tons of storage space in this shack!
The very clever Realtor (see, I can write something nice about Realtors),
posted a sign on this huge walk-in closet

WELCOME TO
YOUR
TEXAS BASEMENT!

Now whenever I do a consultation and I stumble upon large storage space, or that unfinished attic space
that is always marketed as:
" you could certainly make this the exercise room, media room extra bath" -but we all know no one will ever do it.hehehe),
anyway, tag it with
(Your state, city, province, here) Basement!

It gets a chuckle everytime, and on these whirlwind ten-houses-in-two-hours-tours it makes for a stand-out feature!

Happy Staging Y'all

I'm going back to the 'basement' for a nap.......

And in NJ, you could always tell whether someone one was from the city or country...if I remember correctly it was cellars in the city and basements in the burbs!!
