Some buyers are willing to give up a lot in order to be within the boundaries for their school-of-choice. I am not sure if I'd be willing to give up being close to parks .. quality of life is equally important to me.

Would it not be better to have more school closer in distance than even how they are? It gives more of a childhood community vibe that way I think.

According to my experience: the school district is much much more important. Even buyers without kids want to live in the area of a good school.

Hi Andrea,

Yes a park is not that important and sometimes you are better to be further if it is noisy at night time or draws in crowds on the weekend.

Hi Laura,

Some parents are so involved in their child's education and research the SCAT scores published nationally rating the schools.

Hi Endre,

I truly agree this is probably based on a statewide trend. Maybe in some states the schools are good across the board. I think other factors are involved in selection of a school in California.

Hi Inna,

Yes many buyers know that searching in a highly covetedschool district is a good investment when they get ready to sell in the future.

Kristin, school districts should be more of a concern to buyers whether they have kids or not....at least if they're considering re-sale.

Hi Nick,

I totally agree think many considerations should be in regards to re-sale. Colors or remodeling jobs should be rethought if it is something loud or unusual.
