Patio Homes - better than Condos & Townhomes

There are lots of us out there that do NOT garden.  We like vegetation sure, but we don't want to mow it, clip it, water it, etc.  We just want to look at it.

Why is this relevant to Patio Homes, you ask?  Well by my definition, a Patio Home is a single family residence whereby the home owners association, for a fee, provides you with lawn care and snow removal.  Some even provide maintenance of the outside of the residence.  My suggestion is to find out by reading the covenants what exactly you are getting with your Patio Home.

Patio homes keep their resale nicely.  There have been many times in previous history in Northern Colorado, that townhomes and condos sat on the market because single family homes were affordable.  That being said, most people want the privacy a single family home provides and will purchase it over an attached home, if they can afford it.  Patio Homes hold their value because they ARE single family homes, with the benefit of receiving on-going maintenance of some sort.

Water Valley in Windsor has new and pre-owned Patio Homes that come with the added perk of living in a resort community with lakes, beaches, walking paths and golfing.  For many young-at-heart seniors, retiring to a community such as this is the answer.  Loveland also has patio homes, as does Fort Collins and other surrounding towns.

Cathy - I had never heard the term "patio home" until today, and it makes perfect sense for the person who wants to limit their outside yard, garden, and snow removal responsibilities!  I hope buyers in the Windsor community will give you a call to learn more about patio homes and what their options are in your area!

The HOA's will usually allow you to plant in the beds as long as it's fairly neat looking .
