Trivia 292

I want this to be information one just usually doesn’t hear.  If you have I would like to know if you haven’t all the better you’ve learned something today.  With that being said here is the information for you to consider today.

We’ve heard of the Box Jellyfish but have you given any thought as to the size of other jellyfish.  They can be as small as the size of a common pencil eraser to eight foot in diameter and have tentacles that can reach around two hundred feet in length.  That is the size of two blue whales.

Now go out and tell the world of your new found knowledge.  Smile it will make people wonder what you’ve been up to.  Join us tomorrow for another journey into the wonderful world of Wordsmith.  Click on the link below.  Who knows you may learn something along the way and some of the words may even bring a smile to your face.

In south Florida we usually learn about jelly fish and sting rays the hard way, thru blood, sweat and tears. Mostly blood and tears.

I have been to Jelly exhibits in Seattle and somewhere else, maybe Portland or Alaska but anyway, none of them were that huge. I could stand in front of those glass walls and watch jellies for hours. Even without being stoned.

James, I have no idea what box jelly fish are. Although I am  from Orlando, Florida, still know little about jelly fish.  Spending Christmas week at the Florida Keys and going to check out - jelly fish...for sure:)
