Too Busy for a 2nd Showing? Are you nuts?

My buyers were really excited about a house I showed them. The young wife wanted to bring her father to see it the next day. The sellers declined the appointment. That proved fatal! I know that couple was going to buy that house. After 14 years, I just know. But life intervenes. The couple had a camping trip planned. It is mid-August. The wife is a teacher. School is about to start back up. More important, the husband is off to National Guard training for four months--starting end of September. A week delay meant they would have really have to rush. So they backed off. Sellers, PLEASE hear this: It is much easier Not to buy, than to Buy. If the father had seen the house the next day and liked it, I'd have a closing coming up next month. That house has been on the market for 60 days. Any showing should have been welcome. But who turns down a 2nd Showing??? Pound Sand!

Thanks for sharing your experience.  It is so important to be open for second or even third showings. I had a home that just went pending and buyers saw the home three times, but ended up making a great offer.

Second showings mean "strong interest." I LOVE Second showings. Third showings too!

When I hear an agent would like to show my listing for a second showing I do everything in my power to accommodate their schedule!

What could the sellers be doing that was more important? Their children were in Middle School.....Gosh...Even if it was your cancer support group, you could  move it to Starbucks. It doesn't make sense.

How frustrating is it to need something from a store, get there, and find out that it is closed? Same thing.
