One of the great women of movies has left us.
Of course, she left us years ago with so many great films in her repetoire….To Have and Have Not….her first film.
The Big Sleep, Key Largo, How to Marry a Millionaire, Dark Passage, The Mirror Has Two Faces, Murder on the Orient Express, Misery, Sex and the Single Girl, and dozens more.
She was the queen of movies for maybe a decade and a half which makes for a pretty good timeline in the day.
And, the fact that she garnered Humphrey Bogart’s complete attention for the last years of his brief span on the earth says a whole lot about her intellect and personality to say nothing of her good looks.
Just whistle once for old time’s sake, Slim, and hopefully, Bogie will whistle back...
