The Villages Florida is About More than Just Golf

Jimmy Roberts and the Golf Channel scored a hole in one Monday night with their segment on The Villages.  They came to do a special about the 567 holes of golf available within The Villages itself--more than any other community or facility in the world with roughly 2.9 million tee times in the past year.  They quickly found out that “Golf is the lifeblood here, but The Villages is more than 18 holes, a nap, and an early bird dinner.”

This is not how your parents viewed their golden years, but today's retiree is not interested in sitting around the house catching reruns on the television.  There are more than 50,000 golf carts in The Villages.  It is a different way of living, and it is on the move.  If golf is not your bag, what about pickelball, tennis, bowling, swimming, or rowing?  Looking for a little less exercise?  We have a club for that--you name it, there is probably a club.  Woodworking (incredible facility), quilting (guilds by the dozen), travel clubs, etc.  If you don't find one to your liking, you aren't trying.  And did I mention the Lifelong Learning College?  You are never too old to learn something new!  But don't worry--No Tests, Grades, or Pressure--Just Fun!

So now that you know The Villages Florida is About More than Just Golf, let us help you to buy or sell in this unique location.

Hi Roy, Thanks for stopping by.  If you have clients heading our way, we would be more than happy to take your referrals and treat them right!  As soon as the weather starts to cool down, people will remember snow . . .

Hi Chris and Mary-Kay, Yes so true most people who retire today are looking to stay active and The Villages sounds like a good place to be for retirees!

Happy Autumn!

Are you still watching/feeding birds?

Gloria

Thanks for stopping by.  Of course we are still watching birds (and feeding them).  Sometimes we have Sandhill Cranes stop by our feeders.  Fortunately they do not try to perch--that's tough enough for the doves.  :)  Unfortunately we haven't been "out birding" in a while . . .
