Driving Safely in Eastvale - Speed Enforcement Update
With school back in session I am driving a lot slower these days. I will not even go over 10 M.P.H. when little ones are dodging about on the side walks next to our busy streets. Many residents of Eastvale have even voiced their concern about the number of accidents and the speed of traffic near the Rosa Parks Elementary down to Roosevelt High School. This concern has prompted the Eastvale police to begin strict traffic enforcement in this area.
Today, 51 traffic citations were issued from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM and one car was impounded due to a driver who was driving with a suspended license. This operation is one of many that will be conducted throughout the year with the purpose to slow down the traffic for the folks who are driving above the 25 M.P.H. speed limit in the school zone when children are present. So far so good. Hopefully accidents will decline and our energetic, running about and skateboarding children will be able to get to class more safely as the school year gets under way.
