Being real estate professionals, it is our job to get properties sold.  People come to us as Realtors to either get their properties sold and/or to find them the kind of property they are looking for.  

On the sellers side-- what happens when we don't bring an offer to the sellers?  The listing expires and that means we have failed at doing our job for that seller.  Some Realtor have the mentality to list as many homes as possible and get some/most of them sold and forget about the others.  When I first started as a Realtor, my manager told me to get listings.  I got my first one quickly and when I went to start marketing it, she told me to forget about it and go get another one.  "List it and forget it"  was what she told me.  To me that is NOT fair to the sellers.  At The Warrene Team we focus on getting the properties we list sold.  We guarantee offers on all the properties that we list.  If a Realtor is the one that prices out the house do you think we should be held accountable as to get them offers?  Now if the seller names the price or is stuck on a certain number that is higher than what the comps are selling for then that changes everything and we can do our best to help them get it sold.  Most times we list properties at market value and get the sellers their asking price.
