Of course there are! In fact, we've actually seen a resurgence of the short sale transactions in Beaumont CA. Home prices are still struggling to exceed the home values we saw before the major housing crash, and now with the economic outlooks of the middle class not just lingering near all-time lows, but sinking even farther.
But don't just take my word for it; check out these numbers I pulled from our local MLS that serves Beaumont, California and Southern California area.
I simply extracted the number of standard listings compared to short sale listings for each month, starting in January 2014:

If you project the rest of August, Beaumont will have at least another 15-17 short sales hit the market. That's a total of 30+ short sales for Beaumont California alone! If I were a statistics man, I would say we have been on an upward trend for Beaumont short sales since June, 2014!
