Trying to be creative, I decided not to write with a title. Kind of fun because I feel free - like I can say whatever I want and not be out of topic.
I really love the AR community in and out of the rain. I get to hangout with colleagues that are fun and innovative people. I live in a fairly conservative city and find that many of the real estate agents in San Antonio are somewhat stuck in old ways. I get it. I mean, most people in SA are from SA and its about who you know, not how to find new people. But for the last 5 years the influx of non SA people has been growing so knowing how to reach these newcomers is important. But really, if I'm totally honest with myself, I just like learning new stuff so I keep on trying new things and learning new technology; the by-product is I meet new and interesting people.
Take Tuesday, for example, I was referred a dental client - I do commercial real estate often - by one of my other dental clients. She's not from San Antonio and she's totally funky. I love it! Already I can see we are hitting it off very well. We had this conversation about how to grow her practice in San Antonio's hottest areas - The Pearl. It's a rehab area of an old beer brewery on the infamous San Antonio River that has spurred all kinds of hipster live-eat-play. She was telling me about what she expects in terms of communication and well, she's her own target market. I turned around to share my ideology on communication as well, and we are now besties!
What's my point? Try new stuff. Her favorite thing about my communication ideolgy is that I am responsive on whatever platform she prefers - cell phone calls, texts, email, SMS messaging, Google Voice, FaceTime, FB Messaging, Twitter, ..... Given the community we are both marketing - hipsters - our styles were just like a nicely blended Hibiscus tea - harmony and creative.
PS - I named this blog after I wrote it, BTW, which allowed the creativity to flow.
