Mangia Bevi - My favorite restaurant in the Denver Tech Center - EAT! DRINK! Mangia Bevi
means to eat and drink in Italian and this restaurant located at 6363 S Fiddlers Green Circle on the ground floor of the (John Madden) Palazzo Verdi building is definitely a great place to do that.
I have been friends with Executive Chef Mitch Cavin for a number of years now and he never disappoints. The staff is exceptional, the place is always clean and open and fresh. The food is a never ending creation of differe
nt tastes from around the world. Last year I stopped by for lunch and he made me his weekly special, a grilled cheese sandwich with a chili relleno sandwiched in between, mmmmmm, mmmmm!
Mitch is always preparing foods that are in their freshest season and capitalizing on the local flavors. All of the foods are made fresh daily, from the grilled squash pizza to the breakfast pastries to the sesame crusted salmon sandwich. The thing I really love about this restaurant is also it's only negative, because of its location, in the heart of several office buildings, next door to Fiddlers Green Ampitheater, the restaurant only serves breakfast and lunch (two of my 3 favorite meals) and is only open weekdays from 7-3.
However because the restaurant is in such an ideal location, right next to the art collection of John and Marjorie Madden and has such a grand entryway, the place gets reserved for plenty of after hours parties, weddings and receptions. Today for example the Rotary club was having a lunch in the art exhibit
and Mangia Bevi was catering the function.
This place is one of the best kept secrets in the Denver Tech Center, only because of the "business" hours they keep, but if you are looking for a great place to take someone for lunch or breakfast, or you are meeting an important client, or even if you need to have an office meeting, (I believe their private meeting room can accommodate 15-18 people) then you need to check this place out.
I prefer this type of location to the overcrowded Starbucks that people tend to flock to, where you can't
find a parking space and even if you are lucky enough to find a table you can't hold a conversation.
Bring your friends family and clients to Mangia Bevi, they will be so glad you thought so much of them to think out of the box, oh and by the way, they do serve Starbucks for those that just gotta have it.
They were named Best Pizza in the Best of Mile High City Awards. Keep your eyes open for their ever changing weekly specials
