"Should I wait until fall to Buy or Sell a home?" is a common question I have heard this summer. Typically the fall market can rival the Spring market for activity. Real Estate tends to slow in the summer heat when many families take their vacations and tackle outdoor projects. In the Northern half of the USA fall is a wake up call for many buyers who want to be in their new home before winter hits.

 

This is no ordinary or average market, so my answer to every Home Seller is if you are ready to sell, NOW is the best time to list your home. There is a shortage of homes for sale in many markets. With little competition many of our new listings priced right sell rather quickly.

 

For Home Buyers there is no advantage for waiting until fall. Interest rates are at ultra low levels. If you are ready to purchase now, you will want to get pre-qualified with a local and trusted lender. You will want to hire a local, full time and well experienced Buyer Broker who will guide you through each step of the Buying process.

4. HOME SELLERS SHOULD START BYGetting a FREE MARKET ANALYSIS. Learn what your property is worth in today's market along with how ling it may take to sell. Beth many home sellers tell me they want to wait until fall. There is no advantage and actually could hurt them as it takes time to get a property listed and in front of every potential buyer. If buyers are looking now, there home could be missed if they buy something else that is on the market.

Hi Scott - You're right! Now is always the best time - there are buyers throughout the year, and new homes arriving all the time. The amount varies a bit by season, but not enough to warrant waiting.
