Hi Than,

Yes you can make your own space pretty and many sit on their porches at night or walk their dogs so it is fun to decorate with some bright colors.

There are some very nice ideas here.  I really love the unique way the plants are hanging in the organizer bags, nice way to add a little individual touch.  I am sure you could find some really neat things at a thrift or consignment store too!  I may see a weekend project and I am not even in an urban yardless area!

Hi Karen,

What a great idea to stop in at a thrift store or even a yard sale. Flowers and color always make yards look better.

Kristin,

I love all of these ideas for urban areas. They'd work great in small unique areas on a patio or porch also. Thrift stores are a great place to find unusual containers for plants and things.

Hi Trish,

I love the idea of thrift stores and glad you and Karen Mathers  both thought of it. When you go to the chains and big box stores, pots and decorations are so expensive. I am always looking in the clearance sections.

What great ideas for decorating in areas of tiny yards.  I'm especially fond of the burlap bag planters.  So creative and pretty too!

Hi Myrl,

I like the bags and the really tall white pots as they are both unusual but very striking.

Hi Donna,

When I was was walking around the streets of Philadelphia this May, I took these photos and thought they would make a great post and give readers ideas.
