Maybe a meme?

Real Estate Technology with Home Value Leads

Home Value Leads What To Blog AboutHave you ever seen those funny photos with different sayings on them? They are called memes and they are all the rage right now. I was trying to think about what to blog about this weekend, and I kept coming across memes for different things. Blog about memes!

So why are memes so popular these days? Well, it usually comes down to the fact that they are funny and show some personality. Too many agents these days are so boring and mondane in both their blog presence as well as their social media presence that it could really turn people off. I appreciate that you have great information to share, but if you can't do it with some personality, I probably won't want to work with you.

Memes can be a great way to juice up your personality in both your blogs and your social media! Let's take the exciting and action packed topic of market reports. DOM is down! Average list price is up! Inventory is down! YAY! There just isn't much of a way to spice up a market report and give it character and personality. Unless you add something like this to the top:

Real Estate Market On Fire

Tired of posting selfies, photos of your food, and your newest listing or open house on Facebook for the 18th time today? Try to insert a real estate meme:

Or perhaps you could make it more focused on them:

Just remember that memes have the ability to show a different side of you - a side that people can actually connect with, laugh with, and grow to like and trust as a real estate professional.

Like these memes? Feel free to post some of your favorite real estate memes in the comments below as well!

Great post! What I want to know is where do I go to get some photos to develop these memes? Or, can they be purchased? I hope you respond to this comment because I seriously want to know.

Sussie Sutton - Most of the common meme pictures are considered public domain. There is great debate in the legal community about them. Use at your own risk. ;)  All you have to do is search "meme generator" and you will find a plethora of these types of photos.
