We just got back from a 7 day cruise out of the Port of Miami on the Carnival Glory. We traveled to Half Moon Cay Bahamas, San Juan Puerto Rico, St. Thomas US Virgin Islands and Grand Turk Bahamas.
We had a lot of fun on the Carnival Glory. There's nothing better than spending time with the family.
It was a relaxing week.
We visited San Juan, Puerto Rico, which was absolutely gorgeous. I would like to go back and spend more time exploring the old city and learning more about the fortress. The Castillo de San Cristobal is the largest fort built by the Spanish in the New World. In 1783 it covered 27 acres and wrapped around the city. It was breathtaking.
The picture above was taken overlooking the Port of San Juan, Puerto Rico from the Castillo de San Cristobal.
San Juan was my favorite port because of all of the historic landmarks and the old city.
We took the tour to the top of the Mountain in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, where they make amazing banana daiquiri's. The views are breathtaking.
Half Moon Cay Bahamas is Carnival's private beach.
You can see your feet in the sand when you're in the water. The water is so blue.
This was the view from the ship at the Port, overlooking Miami.
The Port of Miami is one of Florida's 5 cruise ports. We have traveled out of 4 of the ports, Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale, Port Canaveral, Port of Tampa and Port of Miami. We have not gone out of Jacksonville yet. It was about a three hour drive from our home.
For us, taking a cruise is a great way to travel. Lodging, food and entertainment are included in the price of the trip. The service onboard was excellent.
