Good Morning,
I hate summer! Not because of the Mosquitos, nor the humid hot days that signal the start of the State Fair…have you seen the forecast?!? It’s not even the fact that on a Wednesday in the mid 70s, I’m sitting in an office and staring out a window.
What do I hate about summer, the shortening days and the fact that it’ll all soon come to an end…but on the plus side, it’s now time to celebrate before it’s too late! We have the State Fair starting later this week. Something on a stick will have to be eaten! Then we also have Woodbury Days coming up in my city. Always a nice treat for the kids to walk a mile or so down and ‘get their sillies out’ as my wife so eloquently puts it.
Oh, what’s that? The market, you say? With rates holding steady many are looking to the Federal Reserve meeting minutes being released today along with Janet Yellen speaking tomorrow in Jackson Hole, WY for guidance. I don’t expect a huge change in direction or trend but wouldn’t be surprised to see rates start to tick back a little over the coming week.
Have a great week!
Matt
Rates: 30 year fixed at 4.125% (APR 4.205) and the 15 year at 3.375% (APR 3.474), FHA: 3.75% (APR 5.835): As always rates change with individual credit scenarios and programs, APRs are estimated based off of a $250,000 purchase price with 20% down and a 740 credit score, if you want an exact quote, call. These are not quotes, merely a baseline measure to gauge how rates change from week to week.
