She is excited to learn in her larger orchestra classes, where she is deemed a leader by the exceptional program. That program by far is the best in the valley that we have seen. Technology Driven
The Arizona Department of Education issued a  "C" letter grade for this school.  Arizona's Department of Education  issues grades  on a calculated formula based on the number of students who pass and the amount of academic progress each student makes each year.  At Gililland Middle School their Mission Statement is "Achieving Excellence Through Teamwork, Technology and Tradition".   This school is technology driven with a laptop for each student in all language art classes as well as Proximas, document cameras, student response devices and SMART Boards are in EVERY classroom.  The message from the principal says "At Gililland Middle School, we continue to work together toward the success of students in school and life. We are a family at GMS.  We teach and instill the core values of the D.R.I.V.E. acronym everyday that stands for determination, responsibility, inspire, vision, and excellence".

ClubZona
After school care is provided by Clubzona, boys and girls club of the east valley.  One program offered is Project Learn.  "Project Learn reinforces and enhances the skills and knowledge young people learn at school through "high-yield" learning activities at the Club and in the home. Based on Dr. Reginald Clark's research that shows fun, but academically beneficial activities increase academic performance, these activities include leisure reading, writing activities, homework help and games like Scrabble® which develop young people's cognitive skills. Project Learn emphasizes collaborations between Club staff, parents and school personnel. This Program has been formally evaluated by Columbia University, Project Learn has been proven to boost the academic performance of Club members."
