This year I am working with more first time home buyers than ever before. Prices have been slashed on foreclosures since the beginning of the year due to the overwhelming inventory the banks are experiencing. Lending restrictions are back to normal (Loose lending restrictions got us into this mess ) and couples with good jobs, good credit scores and some money saved are poised to purchase their first home.
Oceanside is an incredible place to make that dream come true. Prices are down across the board, but foreclosures are still the best deal. In my opinion short sales are a huge waste of everyone's time due to the very low success rate. Your chances are much greater if there is only one bank, but that is a subject for another blog.
