Started in 1991, the Long Island Maritime Museum's Seafood Festival is held annually, the last weekend of August, and attracts thousands of visitors from throughout the tri-state area who come to enjoy the sights, sounds, tastes and history of Long Island's great south shore. Suitable for the entire family, The Seafood Festival, located on the historic waterfront property of the museum, has grown from a local celebration to one of Long Island's premier summer events. Visitors flock to experience the unsurpassed seafood offerings as well as the many activities offered throughout the weekend. These include live performances on our main fest factsstage by several notable acts, children's activities, live pirate shows, public sails aboard our historic Oyster Sloop Priscilla, "Going Green" environmental exhibits and over 50 of the top arts and crafts vendors from around the country. We suggest that you arrive early, stay late - and be prepared to have a spectacular day!

Join us for the 54th Annual Scottish Games. With bagpipes, caber tossing, and highland dancing, the Scottish Games is one of the highlights of our season. It is believed that the games were begun by the ancient highland chieftains to help them select the strongest men for their armies. The Long Island Scottish Clan MacDuff, co-host of the event, always provides lots of entertainment during this festival.

Hamptons Classic Horse Show

One of the largest hunter/jumper competitions in the country, over 1,600 horses will compete in five show rings. Spectators can enjoy competition, shopping and dining.










Robert J. Bohaty Memorial Antique and Classic Auto Show

Date: Sun. 8/24 8 a.m.-4 p.m..

Admission: $5 spectator fee; $20 cars, $15 in advance

Stroll down memory lane at a judged car show that features autos from all eras, starting with Model As and Ts straight up to the muscle cars of the ’70s. Models will be judged in 13 classes with trophies awarded. This year, the Robert J. Bohaty Memorial Antique and Classic Auto Show feature a separate class for trucks and cars after 1985.





Blue Claw Crab FestivalCrabs

The 10th annual Blue Claw Crab Festival offers more than just blue-claw crabs. Crabcakes, shrimp and clams on the half shell, as well as standard fair food, will be served. Guests can enjoy music, craft vendors, and beer and wine tents.
