Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Compass 0524642

My wife has kept my real estate emergency kit packed and ready for the last 10 years. Agents are always getting caught in situations where they might need a "thing or two." There's times where we think we're going home at 6, but then end up leaving the office at ten. I may have added a thing or two. What's in your real estate emergency kit?

I carry WetOnes, they can serve dual purposes, and packages of hand warmers. They will provide heat up to 8 hours and don't produce any CO if you are stuck in your car. Believe it or not I also carry a flare gun of the type carried on boats. When you are buried in snow you might as well be lost in an ocean. A stun gun rounds out the package.

There are two Creative Memories carry-all totes in my vehicle. One holds my key lockboxes and the other contains my equivalent of your emergency box. These totes are ideal because they're large, sturdy, have zippered covers and a couple of exterior pouches, which keeps the back of my SUV looking tidy. I got them on eBay and they nearly always have some listed.

The emergency kit contains a battery operated lantern, emergency flares, WD-40, a 50-foot tape measure, a kit of essential tools, a Sentri-lock lockbox battery, bottled water, a first-aid kit, ibuprofin, breath mints, a couple of granola bars, and a blanket (in case of a snow emergency). I also carry a coloring book and crayons (no, not for me!), an umbrella, a few FSBO packages, stamped thank you notes, some Maryland agency forms, and an old-fashioned map book in case my GPS gets us lost.

Great topic, and I like your photo. Maybe I should give a little thought to adding some of your items!

Great question and loving the answers too!  I'm sure most agents can relate to the big bottle in the back, LOL!

Throw in some Prilosec and get rid of the Pepto and substitute the JD for some Casadores and we're connected at the hip. Love this POST!

Nice emergency kid but I am not sure if Jack Daniels is the right choice in hot sun of the South. That will knock you out quickly.

Sunny greetings from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

What a great idea. I will have to get mine going soon. I think everything that's listed is going inine, but also pepper spray, or maybe a taser as well.

What more do you need than that bottle of Jack in the corner of your picture. Okay, perhaps there needs to be a couple more items in the emergency box.
