Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our tenth week! Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:
" to enjoy the ride"
"take a trip without even leaving the farm"
"expand your horizons"
"see through someone else's eyes"
and hopefully much more!
This week I perused some of the resources for Local Info and found some hidden treasures. I decided to check out places like Iowa and Utah, just cuz....but first, Victoria and the outer fringes of retirement!
Sometimes a trip is equally as important for WHO you go with as much as what you do and see! This very special once-in-a-lifetime shot was captured and Norma Toering shares her momentous experience with us! Victoria Falls!
Okay, so this guy, "spoke to me" with his Blogpost title: Life is Free! Cheaper with Age Anyway! I HAD to go check it out. Randy Landis is an overseas retirement consultant, doesn't that sound cool?? He talks about the desire for LESS money, rather than more. Read it--I like this guy's thinking, he knows the Secret!
When was the last time you sold GOATS as an amenity for property?? Well, Larry Sullivan does it quite nicely...."Innovative business in billy goat country"--he's got the Goat Goods! (This one is old, but still around thanks to localism posts...who cares, it's still showcasing "out of the box" thinking when it comes to real estate).
To end on a chilly note...the most common universal theme that we have across cultures is the WEATHER. It is always a top topic of conversation. The recent earthquake in the Napa Valley, the fires in Oregon, the flashfloods, the ridiculously high temps we've experienced across the nation, the what-have-you. In the heat of the moment, Ginny Gorman has shown us an immediate way to appreciate what we have NOW, because here's what could be coming! Prepare yourselves, Rhode Islanders....
Please be sure and take the time to comment on these blogposts!
I hope that you enjoyed all of these virtual travels. Please feel free to join our group
