This is a market update for the Surfwood Point condominium complex. All statistical information has been gathered from our local multiple listing service(mls) as of August 26, 2014.
The Cape Cod meets contemporary style architecture makes for some eye-catching curb appeal at Surfwood Point. Located just blocks north of the campus of California Institute of Technology(Caltech), the complex features 49 two-level units with two bedrooms and up to two-and-one-half baths in a variety of floor plans ranging in approximate size from just under 1000 to about 1400 square feet. For full year 2013, there were five sales which ranged in price from $409,000 to $450,000 with an average sales price of $427,800(median $425,000). The units sold at an average 102.85% of last list price and an average $424.61 per square foot due in part to a higher concentration of smaller square footage sales.
