The inability to deal with stress leaves us frustrated and anxious. Research reveals that men and women are haunted by many different issues. Men are most out of control due to traffic delays, while getting ill leaves women feeling anxious. Realtors however have to deal with buyers and sellers concerned about their (for the most part, ) largest assest, property. The feeling of being out of control drives some sellers to behave in very odd ways. Some try to gain control by attempting to mess with our brains.

For example:
"My house hasn't sold and it's been on the market now for 2 years. You've had it for the past 3 months, and you dropped the price twice. With all the global marketing you are doing, it's obvious that it's the price that's the problem, so let's try putting it up a $100 thousand and see if that works."
"Do you think if we changed the Zip Code we'd get a better chance of selling?"
"No, I'm not having any showings this weekend, I have plans for the holiday. Can they come back on Tuesday?" (This to a family from Europe who have shortlisted to 3 properties and will make their final decision this weekend before flying out on Monday evening.)
"Please would you remove the sign from our yard. We are fed up with gawkers writing down the website name." This from a new listing, one week old which has 8 showings this coming weekend, all from the yard sign...
"I don't care that I didn't state any exclusions on the contract. I gave my house away, so I'm taking the washer and dryer whether you like it or not."
So what do we do when the rest of the world is heading to the bar while chanting TGIF, TGIF, TGIF???
We do our utmost to keep everyone happy by Keeping Calm and Carrying On...
