A busy Saturday morning in Kentlands

 

I took a long walk through Kentlands and Lakelands this morning and watched some of the Kentlands/Lakelands 5K Run/Walk and joined in the finish line festivities. I was much impressed with an 87 year old man that had a strong running pace as he crossed the finish line. 

There was plenty of entertainment since a number of musical groups were performing along the race route.

When I got home, I did some work in our garden until my back could not take any more bending.

Enjoy the Labor Day weekend!

Good for you, Roy. I too am impressed when I see seniors cross the finish line in our local running events. I hope that's me one day - don't want to ever give up running - it keeps me centered.  Thanks for the post and the flower photo. Gorgeous shot as usual.

Roy, Seeing older folks (older than me) that are in great condition and can do more physical things than I can ... truly inspires me. I want to be in the best physical condition as possible as I grow older.
