Did you hear?  Walt Disney World is negotiating with Orange County on plans to build homes at Eagle Pines Golf Course.  This would include three-story mansions along with hundreds of other homes valued at millions of dollars apiece and sold to private individuals.

According to the reports in the Orlando Sentinel, Disney insist that this stage is too early to discuss many details due to the slump in the housing market.

These plans by Disney were first announced back in March 2007  to build a luxury housing resort on 429 acres.  Yet, few details have been reported.

In the meantime, Disney is asking Orange County to rezone the property as a planned development,  with areas defined for single-family homes, multifamily homes, time-share units and conservation easement.

This would not be Disney first home project.  Other projects of Disney includes, Celebration and Little Lake Bryan.  Yet, this new development is expected to be far more high-end.
