Excellent  storage tips.  I like the comment about having a map of the unit, great idea!  This will allow to always know where your belongings are.

The act of organizing your move is not always given the attention it should.  It really does make it so much easier to unpack at the new home or to find the things you might need to get from storage while waiting to finalize the move.  Your list is perfect to help get things under control. 

Anita - those are great tips especially for people who have no place to go immediately.

I like your infographic and found it very helpful.  It's so important to sort items before storing.  Just throwing items randomly in boxes can make smaller items harder to locate later.  Also, it's very important to label those boxes!

I love this blog..its very easy to read and has tons of helpful tips. I ask my clients to consider donating and or selling as much stuff as they can so they only store what they really need. Thanks for another great blog!!

Great graphic, Anita!  When we moved a few years ago, I had no idea what I was going to use from the previous home so we brought everything with us.  Once we got settled and I made my choices, we had a huge yard sale and sold some bigger items on Craigslist.  It was a lot of work but I would do it all over again if I had to.
