Elkhart's Young Professionals, The Ruthmere Museum and The Lerner Theatre hold an annual Dinner and Theatre event each year. This is the Second Annual Event and excitement was in the air. Advertising has whetted the imagination this year with plenty of announcements, texts and Facebook postings.
The afternoon of "The Heist" this years participants were bused to Ruthmere, just a few blocks north of The Lerner for a champagne reception. Who wouldn't want that? While we were at the Museum three items of great value were on display. a Louis Comfort Tiffany Glass Cordial Set, Auguste Rodin Bronze "Fugit Amor" and Samuel F.B. Morse's 1818 Self Portrait. Larry and I both enjoyed the flute of champagne and then met everyone back at the Theatre for the beginning of the evening. Come take a look!
Upstairs, and hard to capture on film, a dramatic mist with the words "The Heist" in middle of it gave you an aire of Mystery to start the evening. Upon checking in with Registration we were escorted inside the Crystal Ballroom, signed up for formal photographs while we were dressed up and then found our assigned table.
Having a facility as lovely as The Lerner Theatre is just one of the many benefits of living in Elkhart County, Indiana. The Ruthmere Museum, Wellfield Botanical Gardens and The Midwest Museum of American Art are a few of the other reasons to choose Elkhart as home.
Culture, Fine Dining and beautiful gardens are part of our quality of life. Does this sound like a place you would be comfortable living? I would be delighted to show you around our County! I am just a phone call away at 574-304-7148.
