SCRATCH THE ITCH WITH RICH contest
In case you haven't seen this contest yet. I'm not sure why it isn't featued yet or in the contest section, but hopefully, that will be resolved by tomorrow.
I want each contestant to come up with their personal, unique, one of a kind tag-line, slogan or short mission statement for themselves. It can have to do with your business product, service or name. It has to be short, sweet and pack punch. Choose Me, I'll work hard for you or I'm the best! ....doesn't cut it...
JOIN THE GREATS...here's the premise
Every movie advertised, every poster, business card, large corporation, politicians, sports events, committees, billboard users, travel brochures, contests and TV commercials use icons, symbols, slogans, music, art, emblems, rhymes, to brand and capture as well as hold their market and claim to business fame. Now you will do the same! Your time has come!
THE CONTEST PART
1. Your tag, slogan or mission statement
2. A brief history to let us know how you came up with it
3. A paragraph or two on why anyone should use you using the new "pitch". Close us... if you can!
4. It must have to do with your service, product, function or name.
5. Post entry link on this post. You now qualify for points and a chance to win big
HERE'S MY EXAMPLE...relax will you?
RAN RIGHT REALTY ..."People first...then business" serves me well. It will serve you too. WHY? Because at the core of every business is to serve people. If you do one, the other follows. Furthermore: I took the first letter of my full name RICHARD ALAN NAGGAR which is R A N and got a word out of it. Then, I added the way I wanted to do business...the RIGHT way. RAN RIGHT REALTY. This bonds and binds me to you.....Now, tell the JUDGES about yours.....
HINT SECTION
A. Saying the most with the least words wins and has staying power. Got milk?
B. Did you know that some of you have names that rhyme perfectly with what you do, project, offer and sell? That some names also rhyme with your products or services. Click here for help with rhyming
C. People have short attention spans. They want to be served...not put to work. Make it fun, cutesy, shocking, hook, wow, and inviting. This is the famous "you never get a second chance to make that first impression" dynamic. Leap out and lock the reader/hearer in.
D. Can you explain it within 1-5 seconds if called upon? Billboards and business cards do and can
E. Catchy works well. The public wants you to catch them, make them pause, smile and wonder. Do it!
F. Asking, commanding or considering is another beck & call tactic
G. Pictures, emblems or icons that have a point work BUT they must have a phrase to go with it
H. Dignified sells and being professional works. Can you create this?
I. Who are you? What are you? You may just have a glance or a second or two to answer with.
J. Watch the CHEESE...please. Its tempting but we are building branding strengths, marketing oomph, and advertising legs so that we can rock and roll more in this business world. More Revenue for you?
K. Font & colors make a difference
