Want to Move Up? Round Up!

Want to move up? Round up!

Whether you're a new member or a veteran, we're all aware of points. That little (or big) number right below your profile picture. Most people use points as a motivational tool to keep climbing the ranks on the leader board. Some just see them as a number that increases every time they do something here in the rain. And some keep tabs on it to see when their membership rate will drop by another $10 and eventually become free. Personally, it's my motivational tool to keep the #1 Home Stager spot in Montgomery County, PA. Want to Move Up? Round Up!

I have personal point goals in increments of 100k and I'm coming up to the 200k mark very soon. And with all the changes in ways to gain additional points, it's become pretty easy to reach your goals.

I never comment up to 20 times a day but I'll usually do more than 10. After I'm done commenting, I look at my points and round up to the nearest hundred. What do I need to do to reach that number? Is it just one more comment or two? Just to get from 190,166 to 190,200. That little extra push can gain you a few hundred extra points a week, pushing you closer and closer to whatever your goal is.

Want to move up? Round up!

Be careful though, it can be addicting. I only round up once, otherwise, I'd never log out!

Suzanne, I also tend not to make the full 20 comments a day, but usually over 10.  Somewhere around 13-15 I run out of time or steam for the day :)  And 20 posts in a week just isn't going to happen, but I'll make sure we do post daily.

Suzanne, it really can be addicting and I have to pace myself when I'm on the site.

Suzanne, I think we're pretty much in the same place. It's not only where we are in total points, but your approach to commenting is similar. I always do at least 10, sometimes more. Like BLiz, I do run out of steam!

Push your comments up to 20 or more a day and write 20 blogs each week and your points total will have fast growth. Don't forget the ten re-blogs each week.
